Aurora unveiled a proposal that’s been in the works behind the scenes to provide $60 million in public funds and land to Hollywood Casino. The proposal makes plans for a new location by I-88. The casino will then close its downtown building. The company said the deal is essential to stay competitive, but residents said a municipal bond should be used for purposes like roads or schools.
