Aurora Residents Worry a Looming Recession Next Year Could Spell Trouble for New Casino Bond

Aurora residents say a near-certain recession creates too much risk for the city’s plan to provide bond money to Penn Entertainment to build a new casino and hotel near I-88 and demolish Hollywood Casino downtown. The city says the additional tax revenue from the new development will pay the bond and any shortfall will be covered by the company.
