Joey Thurman: Dry colors, low riders, cars that go up and down or dunks, as they say. I'm here at Culture Stock, the on the wall, hip hop fest, and they have their second annual car show. I'm going to go check out these cars and maybe I'm going to ride up and down. Let's bounce. Let's bounce.

Joey Thurman: I'm here with the man, the original founder of II Low Flow Car Club in Aurora.

Ron Moore: Yes, sir.

Joey Thurman: Your name's Ron?

Ron Moore: Yep. Better known as Stoney.

Joey Thurman: Stoney. I love that. What is II Low Flow?

Ron Moore: II Low Flow is a car club that I created back in about '85, '86. It was to basically get kids off the street and get focused on fixing their vehicles, then staying out on the streets and choosing other options.

Joey Thurman: Oh, nice. And when you started that, how many members did you originally have?

Ron Moore: I started it with about eight members and we grew to about 230 with four different chapters.

Joey Thurman: Wow. And this one's yours here?

Ron Moore: Yeah. This is my latest one.

Joey Thurman: Wait, your latest one which means you've had a lot.

Ron Moore: Over the years I've built probably 1,100 cars.

Joey Thurman: Really?

Ron Moore: I build them, get tired of them, sell them. As of right now, I built this one to drive with the guys.

Joey Thurman: Okay.

Ron Moore: I'm building another one that's taken a few years.

Joey Thurman: I'm here with my man Nacho. I got underneath his car. It didn't drop on me so we're good. This thing's insured. Nacho, what do we have here, man?

Nacho: Lincoln Town Car, '92 with trip pump setup, eight batteries.

Joey Thurman: You know, I'm going to pretend that I knew exactly what you're talking about. Basically, it makes it come up like this?

Nacho: Yeah.

Joey Thurman: How does it hold? Do you have to reinforce-

Nacho: The hydraulics holds the car to be on three wheels.

Joey Thurman: Yeah, and when you're driving this, what kind of looks do you get?

Nacho: I mean, everybody look the car.

Joey Thurman: That's kind of the goal, right?

Nacho: Yep.

Joey Thurman: Yeah. Hey, why purple? Purple your favorite color?

Nacho: Yeah, I going to do the car Kobe Bryant. It's the name of the car so that's why it's purple. Next year I'm going to paint on the trunk Kobe Bryant's face.

Joey Thurman: Maui Rollers Only. I love your name and the car club name.

Maury Castillo: Yes. Thank you. Thank you.

Joey Thurman: Tell me about Rollers Only. Why'd you start it?

Maury Castillo: It's based out of Los Angeles, California, and there's like over 50, 60 chapters around the world. We started this off in six years ago, basically. And we're 10 now and we're just growing. We started off with one, now we're 10.

Joey Thurman: Tell me about this car here.

Maury Castillo: This one's a '82 Monte Carlo convertible. I got it two years ago right when COVID started. And that was my COVID builds.

Joey Thurman: Is a car ever finished?

Maury Castillo: Never.

Joey Thurman: Never?

Maury Castillo: Never finished.

Joey Thurman: Right. Right. What number car is this for you for building up in your entire life? Any idea?

Maury Castillo: I want to say like 20. I got three at the house and one at the shop.

Joey Thurman: I'm here with Star, and the rightful name because she got first place. Star, congratulations.

Star: Thank you. Thank you.

Joey Thurman: What kind of car do we have here?

Star: A '76 Cadillac.

Joey Thurman: '76 Cadillac. And why do you think-

Star: Way older than me.

Joey Thurman: Way older... Well, I was going to say you look much younger than your car.
