Joey Thurman: I smell those souvlaki Foti. What do we have going on here? Foti Georgopoulos: Today, we have the Aurora Greek Fest behind us, as you said about the souvlaki, we got pork marinated in olive oil, oregano, some other spices that we can't really say to everyone. Joey Thurman: It's a secret, little hush hush? Foti Georgopoulos: Yes, it's a little hush hush. Foti Georgopoulos: Yes, absolutely. Joey Thurman: Put a little ouzo on there or what? Foti Georgopoulos: Maybe? Maybe not? Foti Georgopoulos: But we definitely do have ouzo available for all our customers and we also have our chicken marinated as well and growing out here as well. Joey Thurman: Well, tell me a little bit about your church and why it's important to do something like this. Foti Georgopoulos: Well, it's important for us. Our church was founded in 1965. Then we moved out here at this location, and it's a wonderful way for us to open up our doors to the community, have them enjoy the Greek food and so forth. And we also provide church tours for people that are interested in about our faith, our religion, and so forth. And they can ask whatever questions and whatnot, but it's a great way for us to open up our doors and just have a great time, have a fun Greek time. Foti Georgopoulos: We've been doing this for so many years that at this point, there are so many people that come every year that we're on pretty much at a first name basis. So they come in, we see them, we hug them, we embrace them, and they'll come maybe once, or they'll come all three days during the festival. So it's comforting to us as well, because they enjoy coming and supporting us. And also the friendship that we've also made with them over the years. Foti Georgopoulos: Look at us over here. We're all having a good time. It's always a blast. And then we have the tent here, we have live Greek music on the night. So it's a nice little Greek party. Joey Thurman: Robert, you are not Greek, right? Robert: No, I am not. Joey Thurman: But why do you come here? Do you feel welcome? Robert: When I first came here, I came 2008 and said, "I'm not a member of the church. I'm not Greek. Can I come?" Robert: And that was in 2008, and I've been coming every year with the exception of last year. And I can't say enough about the people here make me feel welcome.
