<p>Joey Thurman: The holiday season is in full force. The Winter Lights Festival is back in Aurora. Everybody's excited. We've got Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, and all the adults are walking around with smiles on their face like they're little kids again. That's what the holidays are all about. Ho, ho, ho, ho.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: We're bringing the lights back this year, how do you feel about that?<br /><br />Speaker 3: Man, feel great, brother. Looking forward to these lights going, man. And after two years of being dark, we're going to light up Aurora again, man. Cities of lights, brother.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Light up Aurora. I could barely find parking. Sergeant Carter's taking care of my parking tickets. [inaudible 00:00:57], all right?<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Santa, are you excited that the lights are coming back this year? Talk right into.<br /><br />Santa: I am so excited to be back again this year. 2019 was wonderful. This year is going to be even better.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Even better. Can give me your best, ho ho, ho? Where's Mrs. Claus? Where's Mrs. Clause?<br /><br />Santa: Mrs. Clause is right here.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Mrs. Claus, come on.<br /><br />Mrs. Clause: How are you?<br /><br />Joey Thurman: I feel like people forget about Mrs. Claus. I think you need to be involved just as much because every behind every good man is a good woman. How about that? What are you most excited about?<br /><br />Mrs. Clause: I am most excited about the fact that we get to be outside, and we get to get together, and we get to celebrate the holiday. And it's pretty nice weather tonight, don't you think?<br /><br />Joey Thurman: It's not bad. Look at that, [inaudible 00:01:51] and everything.<br /><br />Mrs. Clause: It's not bad, I know this.<br /><br />Santa: We have some wonderful children here tonight. I've already met a few of them, and I'm very excited to see more on our parade route.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Thank you.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: What do you want for Christmas?<br /><br />Lieutenant Dan Woods: Everybody happy.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Are you running for a beauty queen, what's happening? What do you really want for Christmas?<br /><br />Lieutenant Dan Woods: No, that's really what I want.<br /><br />Sergeant Scott Carter: World peace.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: I love that.<br /><br />Lieutenant Dan Woods: Yeah, let's just all get together and be happy.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: What do you want for Christmas or holidays this year?<br /><br />Speaker 8: A computer.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: A computer. After 2 Years the Winter Lights Festival Is Back in Full Swing with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Rudolph
The holidays are a time for laughter, love, family, and of course, parades with massive holiday lights. Last year, the Winter Lights Festival in Downtown Aurora had to be canceled due to Covid-19, but this year the City of Aurora made up for it in a big way! Whether you are a fan of Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, food, or you came for the lights, this festival had something for everyone!
