Joey Thurman: We're at the popcorn store and I could use some more popcorn, Todd. S'mores popcorn. Todd Kummer: It's good stuff, isn't it? Joey Thurman: That is absolutely delicious. Why popcorn? Todd Kummer: Popcorn, it was something to do. Why not popcorn? Joey Thurman: It was something to do. Today, we're going to make some s'mores popcorn. Todd Kummer: We are. Joey Thurman: Tell me about the process. Todd Kummer: Process. We've got to melt our wafers of chocolate and then we add our ingredients and the popcorn and everything into a big heater. Pour it out and we add more ingredients on the top to make our specialty gourmet chocolate popcorn. Joey Thurman: Now how many brands or flavors of popcorn do you have? Todd Kummer: We've got about 60 flavors. Joey Thurman: Okay. Todd Kummer: Several chocolate flavors, a lot of cheese flavors, candy flavors. We also have seasonal holiday flavors, as well. Joey Thurman: Really? What's the number one? Todd Kummer: Number one is the windy city mix. It's a cheese and caramel mix and then cheese and caramel by themselves would be the next ones that are really popular. Joey Thurman: Okay, what's your favorite? Todd Kummer: My favorite, loaded baked potato. Joey Thurman: Loaded baked potato. Todd Kummer: Yeah. Joey Thurman: When you walk in here, it was kind of like I'm walking into a movie theater, you get the smell on the candy. What type of responses do you get from adults and children? Todd Kummer: The adults, the older adults really get a sense of back when they were young, going into a soda shop. Our atmosphere here is tried to set up for them to enjoy it. The kids love to smell. We get people from all the way across the parking lot coming in whenever we pop because they can smell it coming out the vents up top. Joey Thurman: So they're across the parking lot and they're just kind of sniffing around like a dog and they're just running, are they salivating or anything? Todd Kummer: Lemmings following it to the store, exactly. Joey Thurman: Okay, and you have some unique flavors here and one in particular above my head. I am not a fan of this particular food but we're going to give it a shot. Todd Kummer: Sure. Joey Thurman: Because I try things for you guys. All right, so what are we talking about here? Todd Kummer: Should we try to dill pickle today? Joey Thurman: Sure, Todd, we're going to try to dill pickle. Actually Haven't tried this before. Do I take one or just go handful? Todd Kummer: Grab a handful. Why not? Joey Thurman: I don't. I don't. Ah man. Todd Kummer: You're going to love it. Joey Thurman: Okay. Okay, here we go. Todd Kummer: Good stuff? Joey Thurman: You're going to need subtitles, but that is not bad. I don't like pickles, but I will eat more of this dill pickle popcorn. Nice job, man. Todd Kummer: Thanks.
