Joey Thurman:
I feel like I'm stepping back in time as a kid on at Yetee Station Arcade. Oh, I'm ready to have some fun. Let's go,

Mike Mancuso:
Well, this is Yetee Station. We just opened in August, so I've been working on it for five years, in one form or another and it's an arcade that takes games from the eighties all the way up to a month ago and they're all on free play and you come on in and play, all day long.

Mike Mancuso:
I've always been a collector and that's how this kind started. I just like physical media, physical things. Arcade games, when you play them on a computer or something, they're not the same. I started collecting one game here, one game here, and then I had 10 games and then I had 20 and then I'm like, let's start an arcade because it's kind of always been something I've been wanting to do.

Mike Mancuso:
The pandemic first hit when we were in a smaller location around the corner. We were open for a month and then we just stopped. We were shut down for a year and in that year we were able to take this spot, which was a disaster, to put it lightly, and bring it into what it is now. So we were able to open up here bigger, better. This is our permanent location. So, it's been exciting that way. We just hope as people get vaccinated and things improve, people feel comfortable coming back to the arcade.

Mike Mancuso:
We do have the classic Donkey Kong. I do want someone to come and put a high score on this. This is a big high score game. Right now it's at 54,000.

Joey Thurman:
That a lot?

Mike Mancuso:
It's good. It's better than I can do but the pros, the people that really consider themselves serious, a hundred thousand is like-

Joey Thurman:
Oh wow.

Mike Mancuso:
Once you break a hundred, then you're in the club.

Joey Thurman:
If you were to play yourself as a kid versus now, who would win in the game?

Mike Mancuso:
I mean, it's hard because when you're a kid and you have that quarter and only three lives. You're trying really hard not to die. Here, you can just push that button again to play, so you're not as stressed out. I'd say I'd give young Mike a run for his money.

Mike Mancuso:
If you just want to experience like video games, how they used to be before the internet and consoles, there's nothing like playing in an arcade. If you have a group of friends that are really into a fighting game, come here and just stay on one machine and see who's the best and that's really kind of what it is. It's about sharing these machines with your friends and trying to beat each other. It's really fun.
