<p>Joey Thurman: Right here in Stonebridge subdivision, Aurora, Illinois, beautiful Stonebridge subdivision and Bridget, Salela, that's a fun name to say.<br /><br />Bridget Salela: Thank you. I love that. Thank goodness I married such a great husband.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: So what is it that you do?<br /><br />Bridget Salela: So I am one of the owners, partners of the build team, Caldwell Banker Realty.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Aurora, Illinois. I think sometimes people may not think that there's these beautiful subdivisions such as Stonebridge, and we're here at one of your beautiful properties.<br /><br />Bridget Salela: Yep.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: You walk in and you're right. It does feel like a tree house, right?<br /><br />Bridget Salela: I know it's like a cotemporary tree house, I like to call it. So Stonebridge is a beautiful neighborhood. It's so many different price points here that you'll see, that goes all the way up to over a million dollars even.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Okay.<br /><br />Bridget Salela: People live here to raise their families because of the neighborhood. They love the swimming, they love the tennis, they love the golf, which is what the neighborhood offers.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Right. So there is access to the country club, right?<br /><br />Bridget Salela: Absolutely. Yeah. There's a membership fee. There's different tiers of the membership that you would pay for to gain access. It's nice because you can kind of change it up as your family grows to what you need.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Driving through the subdivision, there was a sense of calm and family. Is that the main thing that you're getting from people when they're looking?<br /><br />Bridget Salela: It. And just to be so close to the schools. You're walkable to the elementary and the junior high here. Matea's the high school, which is a brand new high school, which is beautiful, a couple blocks away.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Oh nice.<br /><br />Bridget Salela: You got everything. And you're close to I-88 too, which is great. If you work in the city, it's easy to go right down to get to your job.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Great. People, when they're looking around the area, do you find them looking at Aurora and being surprised at some of the housing and obviously there's this much beautiful nature around as well.<br /><br />Bridget Salela: Right. It is beautiful here. Just the subdivision alone with all these mature trees, which is one of my favorite things about at this house is you get the light, you get the brightness, but you're not like a fishbowl where everybody's watching you. So that's beautiful. It's just the maturity of the neighborhood, I think, is what people love. Again, the subdivision with the country club effect to it, and then the closeness to proximity to Chicago too.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Now, when people move into a neighborhood like this, do you find that it's multi-generational do they keep their house or are they kind of changing houses frequently?<br /><br />Bridget Salela: I think they're changing houses. You start off with your first home, you're in that 400, 500 price point. You love the neighborhood, your kids start going to the school, you fall in love, and then you just keep moving up from there.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Okay.<br /><br />Bridget Salela: Which is great.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Then you can stay in here until the next beautiful subdivision pops up, right?<br /><br />Bridget Salela: Absolutely.<br /><br />Joey Thurman: What else are you excited about Aurora as far as real estate, because the market is very hot right now and what excites you about Aurora real estate?<br /><br />Bridget Salela: What I love about it, real estate in general, there's just no inventory right now. If you're looking to sell your house, now is the time to sell your house because you're going to get a really good price for it, right?<br /><br />Joey Thurman: Yeah.<br /><br />Bridget Salela: We've got a lot of buyers, we've got multiple offer situations constantly happening in this area as well too. People just want to live here.</p>
