Brett, this is huge, man.</p> <p>Brett Meir: It's a massive building.</p> <p>Joey Thurman: I mean, it's really interesting because you've got tennis courts and swimming pools and everything. How do you run a facility like this?</p> <p>Brett Meir: It can be a challenge at times, but we have a great staff and we have great leaders. So it's 225,000 feet of pure recreation.</p> <p>Joey Thurman: I mean, there's so many things here. So you have this running track upstairs, there's one downstairs, basketball, and then you do a bunch of different programs too?</p> <p>Brett Meir: Yeah, we do a lot of programs out of the field house. We have a swim team, free school childcare, you name it.</p> <p>Joey Thurman: And you have a potential Olympic hopeful on the swim team as well?</p> <p>Brett Meir: Yes. Yes, we do. And the Riptides is the name of the team. So she is probably looking at 2024.</p> <p>Joey Thurman: So behind me, there's a waterpark, a slide that goes outside and inside, so you have a bunch of different water activists, right?</p> <p>Brett Meir: Yeah, we do. We have a nine-lane competition pool, a therapy pool, and then like you said, we have a slide in the area for kids and parents to kind of relax.</p> <p>Joey Thurman: Okay. That's great. So even somebody who has a disability, they've got a therapy pool to help them get into?</p> <p>Brett Meir: Yes. Yes, we do. And it has ramps, so you can take a wheelchair in there, there's also a lift. So there's no reason at all why you can't get in the pool.</p> <p>Joey Thurman: Yeah. So that's great. So this truly is for the entire community, from young to the aging population, to the disabled as well?</p> <p>Brett Meir: Correct, for the entire family. It's everything under one roof is what we're trying to accomplish.</p> <p>Joey Thurman: It is pretty cool. I mean, and you have fitness classes as well?</p> <p>Brett Meir: Yeah, we have 41 fitness classes a week. That's probably going to grow in the fall to 45. District-wide, we have around 70. So we have all the types of classes you can take. We have separate studios for aerobics and for cycling, and then we have around 300 pieces of fitness equipment between cardio, select rides and free weight.</p> <p>Joey Thurman: Wow.
