Joey Thurman: Tacos, tacos, tacos. Who doesn't love tacos? Everybody loves tacos. I'm here at the Taco Crawl and actually we're going to walk and Aurora Illinois, in my opinion, is the taco capital of America. Let's go check out this Taco crawl, sponsored by Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry. It's all for charity. And I'm going to eat those tacos and maybe have some cervezas, margaritas.

What are we doing here? We got Taco Crawl, we've got alcohol outside, you got me cookies, all sorts of things. What's happening?

Brisa Barraza: Taco Tuesday. So we are doing a fundraiser for the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry and we're raising funds. So Taco Crawl is a whole concept where you purchase your ticket and you get to go to each restaurant that's participating in the Taco Crawl and you'll get a tasty taco from their restaurants.

Joey Thurman: Tell me about the Food Pantry and what's your goal, and where are the proceeds going to?

Brisa Barraza: Our goal is to raise as much funds as possible. 72% of our clients are Hispanic. We want to buy food with the money that we raise today, to tailor the needs of our Hispanic populations. We do have two sites. We operate out of the west side of Aurora on 8-3-4 North Highland. We serve two days there, Wednesdays and Fridays. And on Saturdays, we serve out of East Aurora High School and we serve 200 families there on Saturdays. And majority of the families are Hispanic and Latin.

Joey Thurman: How do I get around? How do people know that I'm part of the crawl?

Brisa Barraza: Okay. Yeah. So you'll check in, get your t-shirt wristband, passport, and then you're good to go.

Joey Thurman: Wait a minute. You said I get a t-shirt?

Brisa Barraza: A t-shirt.

Joey Thurman: I'm not, can we do something you have magical powers, right?

Brisa Barraza: I do.

Joey Thurman: Okay. So can you just throw a t-shirt on me right now?

Brisa Barraza: Yeah, I can.

Joey Thurman: Okay. Ready? Yeah. Throw it. What sorcery. How did that happen?

Brisa Barraza: Hey, we make things happen around here.

Joey Thurman: All right. Let's go eat some tacos.

Brisa Barraza: Let's do it.

Joey Thurman: Cheers.

Brisa Barraza: Cheer.

Joey Thurman: Well that's a good bite. How they get a taco place and they don't give you a hefty serving of meat, pile it on. In my mouth, in my belly.

Take a moment. Chew the food. It's fine.

Tacos.

Yeah man.

You think I'd be full after all of those savory tacos, but since I got a goody bag, I think I'm going to do some sweetness as well.
