Police Escort Residents out of Contentious City Meeting Before Vote on $50 Million Casino Bond

Before aldermen voted on whether to give Hollywood Casino a $50 million bond to build a new location next to I-88, residents told council to reject the plan because the company can afford the project without public money. However, the mayor said the revenue generated by the new casino and hotel will pay back the bond and boost Aurora’s economy.
