COVID Impacts Blamed for Still Taking Bite out of Revenues at Stolp Island Social
City Council agreed to give $45,000 more to Stolp Island Social, an Aurora restaurant that’s received $300,000 in public funding. Opponents say a business should stand or fall on its own, but aldermen say the eatery is still recovering from COVID impacts. Downtown dining is expected to increase when Paramount Theater kicks off its season August 31.
