Aurora Township Youth Worker Faces Long Recovery after Car Accident

After graduating from Oswego High School, 18-year-old Lyric Johnson's life took a tragic turn when she was seriously injured in a head-on car accident involving current and recent students that was “not of their own making,” according to reports. Lyric is an Aurora Township Youth Center worker who had to put her college plans on hold after facing several surgeries and extensive recovery for broken ribs, a bruised lung, a broken clavicle and other injuries, despite wearing her seat belt as a passenger. To help cover mounting medical bills, her mother launched a fundraiser at GoFundMe.
