Aurora Alderman Concerned About Recession Opposes 2023 Budget With Higher Property Tax Levy
Several Aurora City Council members opposed a higher tax levy in the new budget, which increases the total amount of money the city collects from property owners. While the percent the city is taking will go down, the actual amount of the taxes that owners will pay out of pocket is expected to go up – because property values have been rising.
